Spice Diana Starts to Mentor Young Talents to Replace Her

Spice Diana has been thinking about something most artists at her level avoid talking about, “the end of their run at the top.” In an interview with NRG Radio, the singer said she’s fully aware that no one stays in the spotlight forever, and she’d rather prepare for that shift than pretend it won’t come.

Spice Diana is not ready to continue pushing for spot light if her time is over. It’s to step back on her own terms, once it’s clear the moment belongs to someone else.

”I believe an artist has their time to shine and then there’s time for other people to also shine.” She says “I don’t want to reach a point where other people are meant to shine and I’m also fighting for the microphone. I know that time will come,” she said.

That’s a fairly unusual thing to hear from someone still very much in her prime. Spice pointed out that every musician gets their run, some longer than others, but none of it is permanent. Her advice to other artists was simple, “accept that eventually, and put your energy into building something that outlasts your own time on stage rather than clinging to relevance.”

She’s already acting on that. Spice Diana said she’s spending time mentoring younger, upcoming artists, passing along what she’s picked up over the years instead of sitting on it. For someone with her profile, that’s not nothing, and it says something about how she wants to be remembered once her own moment fades.

Whether other big names in the industry share that mindset is another question entirely. Not everyone lets go that easily.
