Lyto Boss Marries Longtime Partner Cissy Today After 16 Years Together

Singer Lyto Boss, real name Katongole Derrick, ties the knot today, 26th August 2026, with his longtime partner Cissy. The couple broke the news on social media with an official invitation card sent to guests. They’ll exchange vows and celebrate with friends and family at the reception at Garuga Tropical Beach.

The wedding follows a big step just last week: Lyto Boss’s formal introduction to Cissy’s parents, held in a colorful ceremony in Seguku Katale. Close friends and family filled the room. Fellow musicians Aziz Azion, Eddy Yawe, Amelia Nambala, Maureen Nantume, and Haruna Mubiru were among the guests at the intimate gathering.

Sixteen years. That’s how long Cissy says they’ve been together, living and building a life side by side. She calls him one of the most loving men she’s ever known. “We love each other, we understand each other and most important of all is that God is on our side. That is why we have survived for 16 years,” she said.

So why the wait? Lyto Boss says timing mattered more than tradition. He and Cissy weren’t in a rush, he explained, and preferred to wait for the right moment rather than rush into a decision that could pull them apart early on.
