Chosen Becky Apologizes After Mix-Up Over Husband Alleged Admirer

Singer Chosen Becky, real name Rebecca Kukiriza, has removed screenshots from her social media pages. She had posted them to expose a woman allegedly pursuing her husband, Abdul Ssekajja. Earlier that morning, she voiced frustration over women targeting her husband for sexual attention. 

She shared a WhatsApp conversation showing someone pleading for an affair with him. The woman in question was said to be one of Ssekajja’s clients. Chosen Becky wanted to warn others and call out the behavior publicly. Soon after posting, however, followers pointed out a troubling detail. 

The photo attached to the screenshots belonged to Stellah Ssenyonyi, not the actual sender. Ssenyonyi had died in a road accident just over a week earlier. Once Chosen Becky realized the error, she acted quickly to fix it. She deleted the post and issued a public apology almost immediately.

She apologized directly to Ssenyonyi’s grieving family and to anyone else affected. She stressed that her intention was never to disrespect the deceased woman. Her goal, she explained, had simply been to protect her marriage from outside interference.

The incident sparked a wave of reactions from fans and fellow celebrities online. Many sympathized with her situation while urging more caution before posting sensitive material. Others focused on the pain the mix-up likely caused Ssenyonyi’s family during their mourning. Chosen Becky has not shared further updates since issuing her apology.
