Zuena Explains Why She Quit Music: “I Couldn’t Handle That” | Video

Zuena, businesswoman and wife of singer Bebe Cool, has explained why she quit music after releasing only a few songs. Zuena tried a music career after watching her husband succeed in the industry. 

She released songs including Mata, Owa Boda featuring Eighton, and Rain. She walked away before her career took off, leaving fans confused by the decision. During a live TikTok broadcast, Zuena said she got into music out of boredom. 

She wanted to try something new and never took the venture seriously. “Someone was saying that they love my songs and I should give them a concert, please no. Some of us did music because we were bored and wanted to try it out. We didn’t take it seriously though,” she said.

Fans have been asking Zuena to return to the studio, insisting she has amazing vocals. Some pointed to older artists making comebacks with concerts and hoped she would do the same. Zuena turned down those requests. She said the drama that comes with a music career is something she can no longer handle.

“Those saying my voice was perfect should just let me be. I do not have that energy of jumping around the stage and having people insult you today and praising you the next day,” she said.

“I’m not an emotional person that I mind what people say but I didn’t have that energy to quarrel with different people, do stunts here and there. I couldn’t handle that,” she added.

For Zuena, music was a short-lived experiment, not a calling. She seems content to leave that chapter behind for good.
