Hadijah Namyalo Urges Dialogue Over TikTok Ban in Uganda

NRM Chief Mobiliser and Senior Presidential Advisor Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye firmly opposes any TikTok ban in Uganda. She pushes for open dialogue and wise regulation instead. Speaking at the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) in Kyambogo, Namyalo addressed rising worries.

She acknowledges that TikTok sometimes distributes dangerous content and disinformation. Yet she firmly resists an outright shutdown. Namyalo proposes a “national conversation on digital accountability.” President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni backs this idea, she disclosed.
